Is it me or half of [most] fashion films right now are dedicated to credits?! Well anyway, there is something interesting about the colors and styling in this noir-type fashion short by directors Santiago and Mauricio Sierra for NOWNESS...

What do you think?

No Tankers

I have always been a true believer in strong concepts. As a designer, I always seek that compelling simple solution. And when you finally get that great idea, you don't need much else. No pointless little decorations, just the message. Straightforward.

These posters created by Rethink for the Dogwood Initiative are a great example of that. Simple, elegant, compelling. And all for a great cause: An ongoing No Tankers campaign.

Hello sunny Saturday, goodbye rainy Friday!
I found the other day this really cool T-shirt brand from Miami called Freegums. The illustrations sort of remind me of Hattie Stewart's, sort of, and that's actually a very good thing! The shirts are so graphic...! I'm loving them. And also on the cheaper side of things (around $25), which is also a good thing. So all things considered, I'll be buying a couple of them real soon. And would love to wear them with a very girly skirt and a cardigan during Fall. I think it could look really cute. Can't wait.

Go Miami!
...and the B&W Tote!

The Revolution at Sol

Those of you who follow me on Twitter have probably already seen all these images as I was posting them "live" from my iPhone (through Instagram). But I wanted to do a recap of my favorite photos of the day, from my visit to Plaza del Sol, where I went to "witness the revolution". People were great by the way, and super organized. So in a way it was sort of uplifting. Hope was in the air...

Plaza del Sol, today:

I hope everyone gets what they need!

Playlist Friday: Blur vs. Oasis

First things first: I could easily end up adding both groups' entire discography, but that'd just make a hot mess out of everything. So for the sake of simplicity, it'll just be 3 songs against 3. No need to act the music connoisseur (eusse) here. We all know the songs and we all have our favorites, right? Here are some of mine:

Now for the important part:
Who did you grow up drooling for the most?
Liam or Damon
(Sorry, forgot where the photos came from)

Me: I grew up being totally obsessed with Oasis,
so... Liam!

As far as stats go: I saw 0 Blur concerts (although I would've kill to see them live). On the other hand, I went to 3 Oasis shows and met them one morning on a Paris Metro station. They were shooting for the cover of their Heathen Chemistry album. I got their autographs. Liam wrote: To Denisse Love Liam (with a little ♥ to dot the I). Best metro ride ever!

Coffee and TV is one of my favorite videos ever...
 So let's begin with Blur

Have a great weekend everyone!

Do Easy

A short story [taken from Exterminator!] written by THE William S. Burroughs?! THE Beat Generation author who gave us Naked Lunch...! And then made into a short film in 1982 by Gus Van Sant? THE GVS who directed Elephant?.... This little film has got to be good right?!

Or at least, an interesting little discovery...
