Everybody...

Absolutely my fave video from 2003

Have a great weekend!

Color Me Pokerface

Yeap! That's my new favorite color by NARS. Spring will be a lot of fun with pokerface nails. And for better or worse, THAT song is stuck in my head...

Olympia Le-Tan

Indie Alert!
I have been seeing a lot of Olympia Le-Tan handbags lately around the web. So as far as this blog is concerned, I'm calling it a trend. A very cute and frenchie one. My favorite kind!

April's Brit Vogue includes this trend piece on Kooky Style. Defined as where cute and eccentric style meet. Geeky... Nerdy... Cardigans, Glasses, Tavi Gevinson, Late-Nineties Chloë Sevigny, Jason Schwartzman, The Royal Tenenbaums, Meadham Kirchhoff, Rochas and a little bit of Rodarte, all put into the mix. And I believe that Olympia's handbags are just the perfect fit for kooky girls allover. Apparently Le-Tan is a super cool Parisian kooky girl herself, counting Olivier Zahm and Lou Doillon as good friends...

Olympia's book-cover clutches are inspired by first editions of classic novels, and as a girl that pretty much grew up with her face stuck in a book, I find her designs delicious and hard to resist! Every collection includes 21 different covers, and only 16 copies are made out of each cover-clutch. How's that for special?!

And the fact that you can find Olympia Le-Tan's handbags at Opening Ceremony and Colette should tell you something, right?? You can also find them at Ekseption here in Madrid.

Street Style Certified:
...and from a Tumblr I can't remember anymore...

OLT purses are all handmade as the label explains:
And much like in printmaking...
They are created in numbered limited-editions

Olympia Le-Tan's launch at Shakespeare & Co in Paris:
Can't think of a more perfect place for its launch!!

At Olympia's studio in Paris

Not all purses are book covers, but most are...
And all the Love and the Hand Made in France
DOES come with a price... of course!
They are all priced between 400 to 1.300 Euros

Finally there's an original and really refreshing option for people who are bored with all the Gucci and LV washed-up sameness that has taken over the world. Could I get a Master and Margarita clutch?? I would also LOVE to see a Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy one, with "Don't Panic" written (sawn?) in big letters. But I guess in the mean time, I'll be saving up for a Dracula, which is, after all, also one of my all-time favorite books.

J'adore!

Ice Ice Baby

I'm reposting this directly from The Fox Is Black. It is basically a video about nothing -An ice ball melting in reverse, but a damn good looking one! The illumination and editing are superb.

The video was created by Andrey Muratov for Gosudarstvennaya Transportnaya Lizingovaya Kompaniya (how the hell are you supposed to pronounce that?!?), or GTLK. And although it is more on the abstract side of things, I'd like to think that this kind of video could be put into very good use as a backdrop for an equally intriguing DJ set.

I have a confession to make...

...I've been a very very bad bad girl. Look at my beautiful-gorgeous new pair of shoes!

I so knew that getting them would ruin my karma for a while, and exactly that night there was a 'malfunction' with my door, and I got locked out of my apartment (long looong story). But well.... I HAVE been saving up for them for a while (and I just happen to live basically in front of Miu Miu which is sort of dangerous...), so not such a bad girl after all. Spring is coming, and I needed a new pair of dancing shoes. And these look like they'll be true warriors! Ahhh I can see great times ahead. Us together.

Let's Dance!

Tommy Ton for Style.com

One of the best things that came out of fashion month was the photo blog on Style.com by Jak & Jil's photographer Tommy TonThe Month in Street Style includes pictures from New York Fashion Week, Milan and Paris.

He definitely has the best eye for detail out there! And I always respond to crazy colorful images and looks, so here are my favorite ones:

Prada Spring/Summer 2011 Ad Campaign

And while on the subject of Prada.... This video is a lot of fun. I mean, that collection is so photogenic it's ridiculous!

Prada Spring/Summer 2011 Look Book

Hot stuff as always. Thank you Prada for being Prada. Where can I get my hands on one of these pretty little liars? If Fashion and Design got cozy on a balmy summer night, this look book is the result that I would imagine coming out of that. Love child. Wild child. I heart.
