I ♥ Nanimarquina

Well, I was so disappointed to not have seen Nanimarquina at the Feria Habitat Valencia that I HAD to go and see her new shop in Barcelona. Finally. Didn't I say that I was going to??

Nanimarquina is a handmade designer rug brand based in Barcelona. And the 750-m2 shop is located on the corner of Avenida Diagonal (Think Gaudí's Pedrera/ Casa Milá) and Calle Rosselló, on a former car park (According to FRAME this area is the epicenter of design in Barcelona...). The 3 floor space was designed by architect Robert Pallí, who kept the car park 'layout', making this shop quite original.

I loved the space, and was so-totally-happy to finally see all those beautiful rugs LIVE!

'Recycled' Vintage Kilims: It's such a trend right now!
...I was so focused on my 'blogger duties' that I completely forgot about my cushions-collecting habit. I do LOVE cushions and rugs and that sort of thing, and those (above) would have been an excellent addition! Oh well, I guess it'll have to be next time! (Always unfinished business in Barcelona.... or at least an excuse to go back!)

Did you like Nanimarquina? I think this is one of the best design brands coming from Spain.
Nani Marquina, I would love to meet you one day!

Here is a promo video I found on their website:
...and forget about the promo side, it is just so cool to see how the rugs are done!
