All Eyes On You

Who would have thought that with so little, you could create such a hairy scary creepy freaky video. Like spiders hidden in your bed.

BTW it is not my intention to keep on adding so many things directly from NOWNESS, but most of the content there IS good. Alternatively, it could also mean that I'm becoming sloppy with my 'cool hunting' though the web. Well, I'm finally moving. Next week. Which means that right about now I'm busy packing, planning and executing. This is why I haven't been posting as often as in previous weeks, but I promise that as soon as things become a little bit more normal...(as foolish lover say...) things will be as they were before : )

Back to the video: Sonet 10 is a collaboration between singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright and Scottish film artist Douglas Gordon. The film was created to accompany Wainwright's new album All Days Are Night: Songs for Lulu, and is one of 12 that will be projected during his shows.

Follow this link to NOWNESS to watch the video and read more about it.

And since I'm somewhat on the subject... here is a great recap of this season's Fashion Films: The Business Of Fashion. Top 10 Fashion Films of the Season

I'm just so happy to see that most of the films on the list I have posted here before.... such a geeky little moment of triumph! I missed, however, this Prada little film for its S/S 2010 womenswear collection. Shot by Steven Meisel and featuring Rasa Zukauskaite. Basically, it is the printed ad campaign in movement.

So..... bringing a little Business education into this, there are 3 levels of Fashion Communication: 1.Corporate, 2.Brand, 3.Product. And when I was presenting my field project last year, I said that Fashion Films could work well for all 3 of them. That much was easy to see. So, in just one season Prada created 2 digital films: First Spring by Yang Fudong (... definitely Brand!) and this one, which of course is all about Product.

Prada is such a conceptual and intellectual brand that is kinda surprising to see such a 'young video'. Makes me wonder WHEN and HOW...and WHEN WHEN WHEN, I will finally see a Miu Miu Fashion Film. My heart is aching for one. Could you imagine??. Such wonderful possibilities. I think Miu Miu's ad campaigns made me single-handedly fall in love with fashion communication. From the one with Selma Blair, to the ones with Vanessa Paradis, Laetitia Casta, Lindsay Lohan, Kirsten Dunst and Katie Holmes. And of course, last season's sixities puopettes! They are all AMAZING CRAZY BEAUTIFUL.

My favorite Miu Miu ad moments:

F/W 2005. Photographed by Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. Selma Blair, Evan Rachel Wood, Lou Dillon and Eleanor Friedberger. Uhm....yeah how many cool girls can you fit into an ad campaign??

F/W 2007: Photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. Laetitia Casta. It doesn't get any more beautiful than that. Than her.

S/S 2008: Photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. Kirsten Dunst. Probably my favorite collection of all times! competing with the S/S 2010.

S/S 2009. Photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. Katie Holmes. The colors in this ad campaign were amazing!

Miu Miu S/S 2010 Dolls:

I know that the fact that a Miu Miu Fashion Film hasn't happened before only means that something great HAS TO BE on the works. I can feel it in my bones!
